9 months home!

It has been 9 months since we have been home and I cannot tell you how blessed we have been!!! Here's the sad thing...for many families, it just doesn't turn out so good. For many, there are physical, emotional, mental, behavioral issues that must be dealt with for months or years to come. The great thing is that God is sufficient to supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory! We may come across issues later on, but for now, we are just loving our son. Our God is unconditional. We must also be unconditional. We must have an attitude of "Come what may, we will remain faithful, to our God and to each other".
Have these past 9 months been easy peasy??? NO. But, God has walked us through each moment and His Glory is shining! We are in awe of His blessings and His provisions. We are in awe of His faithfulness and His compassion. We are in awe of His power and His might. We are in awe of His never ending love!
So what of Isaiah, our African Prince? He is thriving! Already he has gained 9 pounds and has grown 8 inches in these past 9 months!!! WOW is right!!!

He is right at home as if he had always been with us. Only God could do that!
Sometimes I sit and wonder why God chose us to adopt. I am not worthy of this calling. Honestly. If the orphan and the widow are at the heart of God, and His Word says they are, why would He chose such a sinner such as I? I know His Grace more fully as I contemplate His Will. I feel honored to be chosen. I feel overwhelmingly blessed to be called according to this purpose! Thank You Jesus!!!
