So, apparently, our agency has to receive Isaiah's passport before they can make the Embassy Appointment. Ugh! So we are praying that it will arrive very soon! As the days grow closer, we are making preparations for travel. Bit by bit. Piece by piece. We are beginning the packing part. We have spent several days running around Walmart looking for items to take on our trip. Medications for fever, scabies, ear infections, upset tummy, etc... and not to mention diapers, wipes, bug spray with deet, food and snacks, clothes for our son, and much much more...this part is fun, but also exhausting. Are we forgetting anything? Do we have everything that we will need? Wow. It's enough to drive you crazy at times.
In the midst of it all, we are learning to sit at the feet of Jesus. To rest in His care and provision. To trust Him with the deepest issues of heart. He is enough. He is able. He is. And we must take a step back from the busy-ness of our lives and this journey and rest in His goodness.
Thank you all for taking this journey with us...and we are so grateful for your sweet prayers!
This is the story of the journey that God has taken us on to bring another child to be a part of our family...please enjoy and may God speak to your heart and draw you closer to Himself...The Lord has lead us to adopt internationally for His own purposes. We do not know His plans, they are beyond our understanding. But what we do know is that He does not make mistakes. We chose to trust His voice and His call on our lives, no matter the cost and Come What May. Blessings to you all!

How are you guys doing? Your mom said that you have moved into your new home and may be starting back on your adoption? Have you decided what country to go through?
ReplyDeleteWe had lunch with a woman and her little girl from Ethiopia last week and she was such a little blessing! So sweet and so precious. It really made me want our son home now...
Blessings to you!
