Waiting... again...

So, on December 29th, our Immigration package was sent in and it arrived at a lockbox facility on December 30th. It was then processed and sent on to the USCIS office in Washington, DC, where it went through processing in again and then arrived on our officers desk around January 9-13th. At this point, our officer, John Michalson, has our case.
Today is the 18th of January, and when I spoke with him today, he stated that the average time for the Immigration approval of a Congo adoption is running around 75 days. OUCH! That is torture! Now, I wonder if that 75 days is from the 30th of Dec. or the 9-13th of January? Not sure.
However, in thinking through this very hard news, I realized that it doesn't matter which date it is from because the fact is that it is our Heavenly Father that will determine the day and the hour that we receive our approval. Not our officer. Not us. No one but the Father.
So, as we look at 75 days, we can rest and even have joy in knowing that those numbers mean nothing. Absolutely Nothing. Our son will come home when our Father says so, and not a moment later. And He doesn't make mistakes. Thank You Lord for Your faithfulness!!!
